Top Ten Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Bringing Me

TTT BannerTop Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Check out their amazing blog here!

Today’s TTT topic is: Top Ten Books I Wouldn’t Mind if Santa Brought Me. So on my actual wish list that I gave my mom, I only had two books, because she wanted to have a variety and said that I would buy the books myself anyway. Which is true… BUT! Here is my full wish list, with the top ten I hope to receive, or I’ll someday buy it myself.

1. These Broken Stars. This one is on my wish list, since everyone’s been talking about it and it just sounds so good! It’s billed as Titanic in space, and I see nothing wrong with those two comparisons, even if the romance is a bit kitschy.

2. All Our Yesterdays. The other one I told my mom about. Andi says it’s just amazing, and I had wanted to read it for myself anyway. Another time travel one – I can’t get away from them!

3. The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight. It looks like a sweet little romance, but I somehow I always talk myself out of buying it.

4. Where the Stars Still Shine. Another one that I always seem to walk away from!

5. Reboot. I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews, leaning mostly towards negative, but I still think the idea is fabulous.

6. The Testing. REALLY REALLY want to read this one but I always forget about it! I get home and see it on my wishlist and then I kick myself because I always walk by it.

7. Alienated. I was declined on NG so now I have to wait for its actual release date! A pre-order would be lovely. And I just realized that it’s released on February 4… That means Cress, Ignite Me, and now Alienated all come out on the same day. God help us all.

8. Scorched. I go back and forth with this one, and maybe I’d buy it if it was cheaper, but if someone else got it for me I’d be pretty darn happy. I’ve heard mixed reviews, so I try to be reserved with this one. But who knows – I’ll probably get spontaneous and buy it full price one day.

9. Frozen. This one was cut from my last major book haul a few months ago, but I still want to read it.

10. Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I want to read it, because everyone says it’s so good, but I’m afraid to spend my own money because that cover is just awful! Although that’s what I said about VA and now look where I’m at with that series…

That’s my list for this week – link me yours below!

  1. That cover of Daughter of Smoke and Bone is awful – the UK version is so much better thankfully! What’s inside won’t disappoint you though! It’s amazing, enjoy!

  2. Brilliant list 🙂 I really loved These Broken Stars and All Our Yesterdays. I really hope you get your hands on these books soon. Happy Christmas! 🙂

  3. I asked for These Broken Stars for Christmas, and meant to ask for All Our Yesterdays but forgot! I didn’t really care for The Testing though… I didn’t feel it was very well-written. Hope you have a Merry Christmas, Kayla!

  4. I don’t even bother putting books on my wish list anymore since all of my friends and family just give me gift cards so I can choose what I want, since I am always changing my mind.

You have some great books on your wish list! I would like to get These Broken Stars too. I’m reading All our Yesterdays right now and it is really good. Where the Stars Still Shine was one of my favorite romances of the year. Reboot went from pretty good to sort of meh, but if you come across it at the library, then you should grab it! I have DNF’ed Scorched and Frozen, but I still have plans of reading them one day. Daughter of Smoke and Bone needs to be at the top of your list! The writing and the characters and the setting… seriously, read this book!

I hope you get these books of your wish list soon! 😀

    • I wish I could do that as well! But my family hates gift cards for whatever reason, so I have to give them actual titles 😛

I actually don’t go to the library, so I’ll just take a chance on Reboot 😉 And I’ve heard that all the time about Daughter of Smoke and Bone – I just can’t get past that cover!!! Maybe if I get a gift card *fingers crossed* I’ll splurge on that one.

  5. Reboot and The Testing seem interesting!
I have the UK version of Daughter of Smoke and Bone which is so much better! The UK version of Days of Blood and Starlight seems weird but I can live with it.
I really want the Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight and All Our Yesterdays! 😀 And These Broken Stars! xD
These Broken Stars looks promising. Must look into that! Great list! 😀 I’ve added so many onto my TBR!

    • I just bought The Testing, and I plan on reading it pretty soon since the second book comes out 1/7! I also caved and bought DoSaB, despite the awful cover.

I’m about halfway through These Broken Stars, and I’m really enjoying it so far!
