Alternate Reality Giveaway: The Winners!

Alternate Reality Giveaway

These last two weeks have been a blast, but now it’s time to wrap this giveaway up! Veronica and I loved chatting with you about fairytales, paranormals, angels and demons, and apocalypses. Hopefully we gave some great book recommendations for those genres, and that you look at those genres with newfound appreciation 😀

As a recap, here’s what our last two weeks consisted of:

  • I discussed Angels and Demons, and recommended Cracked by Eliza Crewe, Ignite by Erica Crouch, and Angelfall by Susan Ee
  • Veronica and I created a trivia crossword puzzle using some of our favorite books and characters (see the answers here!)
  • Veronica discussed paranormal books and recommended Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead and The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
  • I discussed the fairytale retelling trend in YA, explained why I’d like it to stick around, and recommended Splintered by A.G. Howard, Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge, and Scarlet by Marissa Meyer
  • Veronica and I took a survey together, started a few shipping wars, stared at Four’s tattoos, and generally sassed each other out. See my answers here, and Veronica’s answers here.
  • Veronica explained why she thinks post-apocalytpic stories are important, and ended up getting pretty deep instead of recommending specific series!

Thank you to all who participated! Here are the winners: *drumroll please*

Grand Prize Winner

Makaela – winner of a $10 book of her choice, an ARC of Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge, and a paperback of Ignite by Erica Crouch

Runner Up Winner

Devon Kotch – winner of an ARC of Her Dark Curiosity by Megan Shepherd and a paperback of Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer

BOTH winners will also receive a few extra goodies, including a mix CD I’ve created that consists of over 4 hours of music! They have 48 hours to respond before new winners are chosen.

Now let’s party!
